Tess Mason
Hometown: British Columbia, Canada
Growing up on a cattle farm in Queensland, Australia, Tess always had a passion for dirt biking. After moving to Canada in 2016, she tried snowbiking for the first time and immediately fell in love with the freedom it offered. By the following season, she had converted her Yamaha YZ250 2-stroke for snow and was tearing through the mountains with her husband, Shannon. Tess quickly gained confidence and soon found herself riding wherever the crew went, logging more miles in the backcountry than she had on dirt.
In 2018, Tess co-founded Summit Snowbikes, a rental snowbike company based in British Columbia, Canada. She has since introduced countless new riders to the sport, inspiring both women and men by showing that anyone can ride a snowbike—even if you’re only 5 feet tall and missing half of your left index finger! Tess is known for her love of flowy tree riding and creating loops in meadows and bowls, turning the backcountry into her personal playground. Her ability to tackle tricky lines, even where more advanced riders struggle, often leaves others in awe.
As a passionate ambassador for snowbiking, Tess continues to drive the sport forward across North America and beyond. Her favorite riding spots include the interior BC zones and the mountain ranges of Idaho. Looking to hit the snow with Tess? Reach out to her on social media!
